Fort De Soto State Park and Beaches!
Fort De Soto is a bike ride away from Tierra Verde. Fort De
Soto is the south end of the Tierra Verde Island. It has miles of bike trails,
a campground, nature trails, picnic areas, fishing piers, historic fort, a
nature complex to learn about the wild life in the area and miles and miles of
pristine natural beaches. Fort De Soto beaches were rated #2 in Florida.
Crystal clear waters over white powdery sands.
A DAY AT THE BEACH IN FORT DE SOTO
STATE PARK!

This is one of the beaches in Fort De Soto. As you can see
they are beautiful. Miles of beach kept in the same condition that early
explorers experienced many moons ago! At each of the beach accesses there is
plenty of free parking, covered pavillions and BBQ pits, bathrooms, showers.
Some beaches in fort De Soto have a snack bar and fishing piers. Bike trails
are all over the island. There is even a dog beach set up especially for dogs
big and small. See Florida Beaches in its natural state.

There are
several picnic pavillions bathrooms, showers and parking at each access. Plenty
of room for everyone.

See how crystal
clear the water is? Sea Shell hunting is great! I will show you my find from
this day. Exploring can entertain you for hours!

We felt like we were desserted on Giligans Island. No
crowds, no trash. Paradise a hop skip and a jump away!

Tierra Verde is the closest habitable waterfront community. A 2 minute
drive or a 15 minute bike ride.
Please keep in mind this is just one of the beaches in fort
De Soto. I did not take pictures of the pier, the historic fort, the nature
trail, the waterfront campground, the nature center or other beaches and picnic
areas.
